Where did you buy it? Was it from AD?
Experts usually need some pictures of the clasp... add some more photos while you're waiting.

I noticed the watch is a V serial, did you get any paperwork with it?

We would also need to see pictures of the clasp.

Yes got the box and sleeves, a credit card with the details on that match the watch and the original receipt. Got another hour before I can post some pictures. Can't see the lec with the naked eye and only just with a loupe, made of tidy dots and looks crisp. Thanks

I'm no expert but looks good to me, the only thing that looks a little curious is the '6 marker' appears a little close to the words 'Swiss made' but maybe this is normal

Try to make them as clear as possible (the last one is too fuzzy) and make more: the other half of the clasp, the crown, the face from several angles so we can see the serial number and the top of the dial, etc. You can´t make too many!!

You need to post a full on shot of both sections of the folding clasp, so that we can see what is written on them and showing both sides would be best.

Try to get in enough light, so that you don't have to use the flash.

I think the best thing to do is to take the watch to an AD and/or a watchmaker and ask to see the movement.

That's the acid test.

I don´t like very much the STEELINOX and ROLEXSA part. They seem to be laser etched and not engraved, but... As I said, wait for the REAL experts to speak.

The letters "ROLEX" in the rehaut seem laser etched too. It is not getting any better, but I still wouldn´t swear for or against (I might be getting old, but I still can´t see the LEC).

Looking at my GMT2C, my clasp doesn't have steelnox or rolexsa on it, but mine is a random serial so might have changed since. The rehaut engraving also doesn't look even. But I really not sure on this one...

The seller said he was posting box and papers etc...I think we are being used to validate his fake. I've been wrong before but...

I hope not but we shall see.

OP WHERE DID YOU BUY IT FROM? WHY would you buy what you THINK COULD BE A DUFF (not really sure what that means) watch????!!!!!

OH...how much did you pay for it? Receipt?

Thanks to everyone for the input, i just can't seem to get any decent pictures(using a phone) I thought i was being careful when i bought the watch, mainly in the quality of the writing on the dial and the rehaut. All the writing appears to be very clear and crisp under a loupe. The LEC seems to be causing a bit of a concern, size wise it is about half again the size of the odd hour markers on the bezel.

Think the only way I can be happy with the watch is to take it to someone and let them take the back off. If it turns out to be a duff will an AD keep it ? Thanks to all for your time

You can take pictures of box and papers easily with a phone,
Where did you buy it?
How much did you pay for it?
Why did you buy it?
