Seems that those based in Europe see a different website where the 75 is mentioned.

OK - just cleared cached memory off my browser and gone back to the AP website to look at this AP.
Still for me (UK based) showing boutique only and 75 pieces...... FD. |

This piece is going to be virtually impossible for anyone other than the very top customers and I bet even the grays will struggle to get their hands on one.
AP/PP/Rolex are manufacturing such tremendous scarcity right now to the point of absurdity and alienating many genuine enthusiasts in the process. It will be very interesting to see how the strategy plays out if the global markets take the dive many pundits are predicting over the next 12-18 months. That said, I REALLY want one. |

We’re in the 21st Century. Manufacturing is extremely advanced compared to even the 80s and 90s. In fact I’m sure that even on Patek and AP they use machines more often than not. If you look at the really old Patek stuff you can tell it was done by hand since certain things vary a bit from piece to piece. Today they are all 100% the same. Maybe this is due to much higher quality control standards but machines also play a large role in this perfection.

As far as this release being compared to the other AP releases (code 11:59) I disagree, I think the new jumbo release is worthy of the buzz. Do agree that it is an artificial scarcity. Machines are used for the majority of production but the tapiaserie dial retains some old world manufacture that for me is special.

Official response from NY boutique.
The new jumbo “will NOT be a limited edition” “the watches will not be numbered.” but “will be a limited production.”

I’ve also heard this for the YG 15202 pieces also. They’re not limited editions but will be limited produced each year while the RG 15202 version is not a limited production. AP will make as many as they can sell to fit in their 40,000 production capacity.

Does anyone have any clue when these might start hitting boutiques?

Not at all a fan of the dial color. I much prefer the rose and yellow gold pieces. Rose gold + blue dial for the win.

I think SIHH stuff usually starts hitting around April, if my memory serves, with some models arriving a bit earlier and some holding out until the summer. This seemed like one that would be on the faster end, but I guess not, as I still haven't seen any incomings here or on instagram.

Unreal watch, saw one in the metal in July but was already sold to a customer who had not picked it up yet. Truly amazing

Almost takes on a brassy color in a certain light. I'm not much for warmer colors and tones alongside steel but it's certainly unique.

I absolutely love this piece. I am also curious if any members have this one. It love the 15400 but fit I tad too thick at 41. Would love to try the 38mm chronos. The 39 fits perfectly. I tried a friend’s and it was perfect. Can only imagine what a full gold version would feel. Hugh fan of that honey color.
