The pics in posts 34 and 51 seem conclusive to me. I don’t know how a reasonable person could claim otherwise.

I won't believe it until I see an obvious change holding them in my own two hands. I've handled a white gold BLRO, the Basel show dummy model and my own December delivery. They all seemed the same to me but that's over a period of seven months.

Someone with both needs to track down a friend with a spectrophotometer and shoot the colors. Numbers won't lie. Either way they are a mass produced item and there has to be a delta QC toleration for production. No company in the world making mass produced color items hits the same LAB value 100% of the time.

Leaning towards there are two based on the very few side by side pics we have in here. Can't really say though unless we get some good pictures under identical lighting that nobody can question.

the number of people who own one is small, the number who have two is exceedingly small so i think the jury is out. There is plenty of ways to account for the appearance that the colors are different.
Doesnt bother me either way

Thanks guys. I’ve been curious since it came out. People thought I was crazy, and at one point I thought I was color blind, for thinking the blue looks pastel or purplish. Let’s wait and see..

So the assumption being made is that eric is lying in order to get some extra short lived traction on his social media account?

Seems like that's a good amount of peoples verdict. Doesn't make too much sense to ruin his credibility over something so small.

Lighting and angle markedly affect the perceived color of the ceramic bezels. In real life, I see no difference in color between the newer stainless steel watch bezels and older white gold watch bezels.

or the assumption is its a coincidence or a manufacturing variant or something other than full on production change.

This is absolutely not out of the question, but if it were a manufacturing variant than that would still mean there are two versions. Just like there's multiple color variants of the aluminum LV bezel. |

I don't own one yet. Hope to sometime soon!
Call my eye untrained, but there are a few side-by-sides in this thread that make for a rather compelling case to me -- and I am not talking about the photo Eric posted on IG. I was skeptical when I saw his post this past weekend, but then I saw photos in this thread (posts #34 and #51 and #87) that make for a pretty compelling case in my perspective. It's a beautiful watch either way. Unfortunately for me, I actually think I like the most pastel-color hues that you often see with what people are calling MK1 now (call me crazy!). Too bad I don't have one! |

Anyone who owns the 126710 (myself included), knows the dial can appear different colors based on lighting and the angle of the bezel to the camera.
There are pics above of more than one watch in a photo illustrating a slight variation of the color(s). Either someone used a photo editing program to alter them for obvious reasons, which is possible, or there are slight variations to the BLRO. It seems there are members who will need to hold them in their hand to believe. It’s amazing that people who study and know vintage Rolex, refuse to believe or acknowledge that variations can exist, and if they do, it’s an irrelevant topic to discuss. My thoughts too, Eric Ku is the expert in vintage where minute dial nuances = a ton of cash. He’s got the eyes for this stuff. Doubt he would make this claim unless scrutinized and 100% certain. Not gonna risk his credibility.

Yes, I saw the difference at Fourtané. The people at Fourtané and Eric Ku are straight up people.
My 126710 is from July 2018 and definitely Mk I More images at https://www.minus4plus6.com/126710BLRO.php -Sheldon

And why would it be so hard to believe? If there's any company that will make a change and not announce it or even admit it, it's Rolex. |

I would also add that owners of the purple/pink bezeled model (VIRO) have a vested interest in denying that a blue/red model (BLRO) exists

126710BLRO Two Versions?

I’m in the two different versions camp. I’m just saying until we have those perfect photos there’s going to be people denying they’re different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
