Hulk vs Regular Sub-C 116610LN, Same Cost of Production, Twice the Price, Is it Fair?

Guys,

Do you find it fair, between Hulk and Regular 116610LN? Same Cost of Production, but the price of Hulk is twice the price of the 116610LN (at least here in South East Asia)?

So Rolex is making very good margin on this Hulk Model.....

Regards,

I知 confused.

The hulk msrp from the US is slightly more than regular sub. Are you referring to the secondary market?

Rolex isn't making money on them. The grey dealers and few ADs are.

The Price of Hulk (in South East Asia), is almost twice the price of the normal Sub - C....BNIB or 2nd hand....same situation....

In a free market economy the price is controlled by supply and demand. That's fair.

We'll see how much longer this lasts. Just wait it out.

Plenty of other watches to buy.

Don't forget what you're buying... the purchase is emotional, not logical.

The MSRP only increases $50 USD from the 116610 LN to the LV (most likely do to the green ceramic and sunburst dial manufacturing). Rolex is not making the grey market price on the model - just the flippers; Rolex ADs should also not be adding an ADM to the watch either.

So does the Black dial.

@syahriltaher, I don't get what you're saying. The Hulk is not twice the price at retail. Even if it's twice the price BNIB or used (gray market), Rolex isn't making the margins.

I知 not talking about the white gold on the hour markers and hands. The actual dial is made with gold dust to create its effect.

I was going to say that too!
Also the Hulk has the decorative swirl marks to make the Sunray type effect, a hamster or similar machine must be worked to do that.
Also perhaps (grasping here) the green ceramic bezel may cost more than the black version?
Think how little the RED paint on the sub cost versus the one without!

What really cost a lot money in R and D and throwaways was the Pepsi bezel and they go and put that on the SS with barely any premium at all, instead of the expected 」1-2K on top, so Rolex are very charitable in their pricing as we see on many models, esp the ones that now have sky high premiums which is not a coincidence.
