Great story. I was not a pilot, but served in the Navy for 26+ years. Appreciate aviators for all they do. I was a surface warfare officer.

I also have BLRO, but have not yet worn it.

Thank you for your service. As a SWO you should be rightly proud. I’m a civilian aviator but had the incredibly good fortune to be taught by military pilots and have had access to some exotic machines. A Super Sabre Jet guy, and two FA/18 drivers taught me well.

Only trouble with writing here, if I quoted the unedited conversation, I’d attract 500 demerit points for bad language...

Put on that BLRO. Watching it smashing around the F18 cockpit the other day in very punishing conditions then making a great watch to wear for dinner has really endeared it to me.

Thanks. On the long haul flight home, the flight attendant in business asked if I was capable of assisting in an emergency... Um ejector seat or the handle on a cabin door. I can cope with that
