For a collector I can see multiple watches of the same type, but as a wearable set of watches why 2 Submariners? There is a rather famous collection of factory black Corvettes from every year, so as I say, from a pure collecting standpoint I see these collections of all SS Sport watches, but from a practical wearing standpoint I miss the idea of why 2 similar watches in a working rotation of 4.

Thanks for your question, hope I can answer it. It’s simply that to me although they bear the same name “Submariner”...that for me is where the similarity ends. 2 different dial, 2 different movements,....one ceramic the other pre-ceramic bezel ,....one is 4 line the other is 2 line, one holes the other no holes, ...one 5 digit the other is 6 digit, one traditional looking the other modern looking....one has the older style bracelet the other the new glidelock bracelet,...one has a date the other doesn’t have a date....
.....and probably most of all they wear completely different on the wrist, one subtle on the wrist and the the other has much more wrist presence...maybe I’m just a watch fanatic, but I love how models evolve.

Lovely collection, I like how you went back to the 5 digit reference with the EXP II. I think I see a chronograph in your future!

Congratulations, a very classy collection.
Also a perfect explanation to the comment regarding your choice of having two Subs in the line up.

Really good and well thought out start.

We have similar taste and I think you have really good diversity here. I totally agree with you on the there being big differences between your two Sub LNs.

My only critique would be to put that 14060M back on an oyster bracelet!
