5098p

Anyone have any experience with this reference? Considering purchasing one with full set box and papers from 2008. I’ve owned other large brands (Rolex, AP, PP, Lange, etc) and have a 6.75 inch wrist. Thanks!

This tonneau-shaped Gondolo was not the most popular watch when it was being produced. It was probably produced in fairly low numbers as a niche market watch due to its size and shape. The watch being platinum makes it somewhat rare.

I have seen this watch in person, but I have never tried it on. Due to the unusual shape of the watch, it is best to try it on your wrist. The dimensions of the watch may not work for all people.

Best of luck in your purchase decision.

Thank you - does this piece wear large or small? I.e like a 40mm?

Due to the vertical vs horizontal dimensions of a Gondolo, you can't compare how it wears to a round watch with a 40mm diameter. That is why you have to try it on the wrist to check fit.

I have never tried on this watch. However I own the 5100G, which is a different Gondolo and sits on the wrist similar to a 5200 if you have ever seen those at ADs. I suspect the 5098 will fit larger than a 5100/5200.
