Its 9250 msrp. Still confused. 1.5 years ago the hulk started to become rare to find and cheapest i would see them was 10.5-12 grand.

6.5 or 7grand? If you got them for that cheap, i can say good buy and that wont happen again. Theyll be over 20k when they get discontinued

Hulk.....5 years...10 years...20 years....Hulk will most likely outperform any TT or PM.... Based on what you ask? Past history....Rolex SS outperforms.

Although past history does NOT guarantee future results....I would put my money on SS!

I’m confused on these opinions of “overpriced”. I’m not defensive because I have 1, I’m defensive because it sounds ignorant to refer to a luxury item as overpriced. In fact. Most every luxury watch is overpriced, it makes it a luxury to own one.

I too have owned multiple blue subs, their dials are brilliant also. My LVc dial is literally breath taking. I appreciate both models, and foresee most sunburst dials holding their values pretty steady moving forward. If the market reacts to the LVc getting disco’d the way it did to GMT2LN, then we’ll see it creep up to almost 20,000usd ballpark. Then it will surely be OVERPRICED!

I, like Larry have had both, and would agree they are both fantastic timepieces. But for different reasons.

The LB to me is arguably the best combination of sports and dress that Rolex has ever produced. The LV is just an amazing example of an awesome sports. To my surprise, I was shocked that it is the LV that I miss the most out of all the watches I used to own. In hindsight, I should have kept it in my collection.

One thing is for certain, the sunburst dials on both watches are absolutely stunning.

Hulk is a beautiful piece no doubt, Bluesy is iconic understated and has been lagging behind the SS prices maybe it is just starting to catch up. Watch-Finder had 17 Bluesy 2 weeks ago. Now just 9.

Talk of Rolex to discontinue current 116613lb and update movement might have a part in the upswing.

Intresting to watch how this plays out.

Or maybe just TT is becoming back into the trend.
I don't see the Hulk going down very much

In reality, we are not going to turn the world in the other direction. It's simple, just look to the past and the history of Rolex to see that steel pieces have always outperformed gold or bi-color ones !

There can be a fashion but like all, it is doomed to obsolescence.
Simply because there is a story. The LV celebrates the anniversary of the Submariner, and the Hulk is the heiress. There will always be a strong interest in these pieces in many years from collectors, enthusiasts or connoisseurs.

The blue is beautiful, but does not tell anything, it's "just" a beautiful watch.

A rating is not judged on a wave of 3 months, but over 10 years.
You will see, if the Hulk is stopped its value will explode and the balls of crystal with.

My 2 cents

There are heaps of anniversary models and the true lovers of this thing will want the "true" anniversary which is the actual year of the anniversary.

The Hulk now been produced for almost 10 years. Once again NO MODERN SS rolex will ever become like a Paul Newman true collectible piece. There are just so many of them around (literally 10s if not 100s of thousands of them) over the many years of production.

If your waiting for the LV to become like a Paul Newman well thats a suckers game and fantasy.

I did not say that. You extrapolate outside the subject.
What I said is that Rolex's sporty steel pieces have surpassed the value of bi-color, and that will remain the case.
Now we can all have his opinion or self-centering divin, I rely on the past and current market (sub, daytona, gmt).
So I'm not saying that a Hulk will match a Paul Newman in performance (?!) but that its value will double once it is stopped and we will be far from its catalog price of its 10 years of production...and the bluesy will be less rubbed and liquid.

And for the fact that as you say there are hundreds, then push the door of a retailer and we'll see if you have one. Faster ? then you must already pay it according to the market..

What are you talking about? I have yet to see anyone here ...state that a modern SS Rolex will ever attain the value of a Paul Newman??? Talk about fantasizing....

Sooooo much better value in the Bluesy and honestly if you hold them right next to each other the LV doesnt come close to the beauty of that sunburst blue.

YG Gold and Blue combo works so well and it has since ancient Egypt times.
Did he get it from an AD or gray market?
