I haven't worn the BB58 in person before but having taken possession of the SMP, I have to say it wears amazingly well. You can just tell it is a quality piece. Doesn't wear too big or too thick. Very happy with this choice for me anyway.

Wow, that is stunning! You DEFINITELY made the correct decision. Congratulations

Would you mind posting a pic of it beside your BLNR? Strange request, I know, but you have me seriously considering this piece (and I too have a BLNR).

No doubt, Omega is way better than Tudor.

If it helps I have BLNR and the Omega in blue. Despite the Omega being 42mm it actually wears very close to the BLNR and on rubber strap is the most comfortable watch I have.

Omega with out a second thought. I own the black dial Omega 300m and will buy the white dial Omega as well. The Tudor line does not sing to me. I would rather go all out with Rolex then settle for a Tudor. Omega is in a class on it's own. Rolex should take note.

I didn't vote. I just can't decide.

Your choices are close to watches I would choose. However, I prefer the Seamaster on rubber and I like the red Black Bay the best.

While you might consider it settling, Tudor owners don't. It's a preference.

Wowsers! They look awesome together!

Interesting how much larger the SMP seems vs BLNR.

I knit must look at the SMP as a desired sport watch, but I would look at it as my sporty knock a round watch (also for traveling so I don’t have to worry about my BLNR).

Thank you!

Omega certainly looks better but i cant seem to pull off the 42mm dial after trying it on.

The SMP will wear much bigger than the BB58. I prefer the BB58. My only gripe is the lack of a date function.

BB58 is stunning and perfectly sized. Simple choice.

Tudor all day. I’ve tried the white Seamaster on and it wears quite big plus I thought it looked a bit plasticky to me - albeit I don’t like white dials in general.

If you like it however, there’s no doubt both a great watches.

I tried on the white dial SMP on rubber and I absolutely loved it. Congrats on the acquisition!

Super happy with the SMP and at least for me, I am glad I went with this versus the BB58. Bonus? It works with the Everest Rubber strap that I bought for my BLNR!

I personally would go for the Tudor. I'm not a fan of most Omega watches.

100% the Tudor. Omega is nice but not my style, it would look out of place on my wrist.

Omega is a better watch. Black or white dial.

Great choice! Legibility. Symmetry. Antimagnetic movement. Tough to beat.

Looks great OP! Congrats. If I decide to get an Omega, that will be the exact one I get! Love the white dial and I like the date complication. Would definitely choose that over the Tudor, although the Tudor looks nice as well and I’m sure is a great watch.

Thanks all. I actually ended up springing for a Tudor 58 as well just to have a trial run with both. I'll move the one I don't want to keep but this way I won't have to wonder. I am falling for the Omega already though. Love the way it wears and how much presence it has on the wrist.

Here's another one from today:

Omega, but I would want 30% off mrsp. And yes this is achievable if you shop around and play the game.
