Basel 2020 Patek “prediction”

similar to 5396, but with the coloring and materials of 5212. (Black hands, markers, steel on calf)

But...Senza Luna!

Noted a biennial pattern for the Nautilus line:

2012 - 5726/1a
2014 - 5990/1a
2016 - 5976/1g and 5711/1p
2018 - 5740/1g
2020 - ????/1?

Based on past trend, will there be a brand new Nautilus this April?

30th of April is when the show was due. That's a lot later than usual?

So when will they announce the new watches? Will they all announce them at the same time or how...?

It’s postponed to Jan 2021. It’s Baselworld 2021 that will be cancelled.

I think there will be some Calatrava offerings, would be my guess. I would think they will announce the new models as planned on-line in April when the fair was scheduled. This is huge money, no way they wait until January 2021.

I don’t think we will see a black steel nautilus bc of the Aqua. But I do think we will see a grey 5711 w color similar to the 5990.

I feel like the 5146 is due for a refresh of some sort, but not saying it will happen. Just hoping it will. Hasn't it gone unchanged for 15years now?

It’s one of Patek’s best selling line, why should they!

Why shouldn't they? Nothing wrong with progress.

I bet they save that for the 50th anniversary, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't release a nautilus minute repeater at some point.

My post has been resurrected! Having had to time to ponder - I'd like to also see:

1. A more robust calatrava a la Patek 2508 (brushed sides and beefier lugs) but auto/date to replace 5296

2. The promised "new manual wind" that's supposed to being built in the new facility.

2. A steel strap-watch complication - like a 1463a type (extremely unlikely i know - but like the steel corne de vache from VC) or a steel perpetual with the movement from the 5320g but a more sporty case and non-gloss dial

(I'm actually shocked how poorly realized the 5172g blue dial chrono and the 5320g were realized - and the market seems to agree.)
