Great thread, this is my sbgt035 with a 9f83 movement sitting next to its cousin sbcm025 with a 8f35 Perpetual calendar. Both incredibly accurate movements.

Show off your 9f quartz Seiko's!

A bit late to the party and resurrecting an old thread. I recently purchased a SBGX059 which has the 9f62 movement. A nice little watch at a nice price point. I wouldn't switch over from Rolex to Grand Seiko for more than one watch based on this but I'm glad I've got it. I might add that it was running to the second of International Standard time when I received it. |

Grand Seiko SBGX271
Loving this one! I love the size at 37x10, and nice and light on the wrist. Workmanship is of course tops. I have been through a lot of watches, and am enjoying this more than the Rolexs I have owned as well as the Snowflake and Captain Willard that are now sitting in the drawer... and such a great value for a watch at this level.

Demographics...
and if you like Leon Russell, that means we're in the same age category, and may explain why 37mm is so appealing to us...

Cool, I wish I still had my ticket stub from the Oct 31, 1971 Dead concert I went to. Never even thought about keeping it!

old days...
I have some of my old ticket stubs, but not the Grateful Dead- though I saw them a few times, but I DID have my Seiko that my uncle brought back from Japan as a HS graduation gift to me, 1969. I gave it to a friend years back, and around 5 years ago my watch passion really started... so I asked him, not to take it back but just to see it... and it was gone... oh well!
