SD43 3235 movement Help!

Good morning. First time posting. I have a SD43 126600, and yesterday I noticed my watch was 25 min late! I’m a military guy so time is always being observed. So, I listened to it to ensure her heart was still beating and I can still hear the “ting, ting, ting, ting” as I always have. The rotor is is moving along with the low moving sound as normal. It does sound a little more wobbly if that makes sense. I’m almost 12 hours later from my reset after noticing it was 25 late and I’m still spot on. I do not hear any irregular noise when going through the movement etc. Wanted to put out this and get some opinions. Have a good day.

Might have been low on power and you caught it near the end. Good news its back to spot on. Keep an eye on it. I wouldn't be too worried.

Welcome to the forum.

I’d let it stop. Then start over with 40 full winds of the crown. Let it run and see how it keeps time and check the power reserve ... should be close to 70 hrs.

This way you’re starting from zero and can see if there is a problem

I wear it daily, any chance a hard impact could have knocked a hand out of place?

Good advice.

Please note that the new Rolex movements are subject to lubrication problems that are corrected usually free of charge by RSC. Plenty of threads about it on the net and also in the tech section of this forum.

Very doubtful impact would have knocked the hand out of place. Monitor over 24 hours and see what happens. There are plenty of posts of the 3235 going slow and it seems to occur suddenly and for no apparent reason. I’ve had it happen to both my sd43 and my DSSD. As previous poster states, it’s a lubrication issue. RSC will make it good at no charge.

Pretty unlikely that a hard knock could "spin" a hand halfway around the dial.

It is more likely that your watch stopped just before you put it on. Wearing it every day doesn't mean that you are winding it sufficiently every day.

It takes a lot of wearing, just to generate enough power to keep it running. If you are putting in that much wind, plus enough to last for 10 to 12 hours, it is eventually going to wind down to very close to stopping each morning before you put it on.

Thank you all for the replies. One last tidbit I should mentioned..sorry..I didn’t re-wind it starting it back again. Adjusted time and she’s still going. Maybe I adjusted it in my sleep??? Thank you all again.

Like Brian and Larry said, it was probably not fully powered up. With folks at home, it’s not getting the power built up by arm movement like it would, otherwise. It’ll be fine. Just do this to check it.
