Hi, it's quite large, but think it's perfectly proportioned.

Really wonderful watch, awesome value for money!
4R35 movement is a big improvement compared with previous generation and its non-handwinding and non-hacking 7S26, and that blue color is pretty awesome! Big congrats!

Looks good. Is the bezel action the same, or different than the SKX?

It's the same uni directional bezel as the SKX line.
Thanks for all the feedback! Whilst I have a number of high end and vintage watches, you can't deny the amazing quality, design and value of Seiko. |

Interesting case design with the lugs turning down to follow the lines of the bracelet. Don't know that I'd care for it on a strap though for that same reason.
Very nice watch.

Interested in one of these too. If you have experience with the Tudor Pelagos how would you say the two stack up against each other? I realize the Tudor is 8x the cost but from all the compliments I'm guessing it's close in quality. Even if it's half as good as the Pelagos it's still a bargain.
I'm looking for a low key watch to take on vacation to Mexico. I have an AD down 15% off retail, still have to pay tax, on a Pelagos LHD. I'd rather spend $500 than $4K but not sure how much the seiko would be worn after the vacation. No place around me sells the seiko so I can't try it on first, breaking a rule of watch buying for me. Thanks for any info you can share. |

Hi WCdhtwn,
I don't own the Pelagos, but know the watch very well. In fact I was temped to buy it too, but I managed to bag the new Speedy Tuesday, so didn't feel like I needed both. By way of comparison, I agree some comparisons can be made in terms of their dial colour, robustness and their relative uniqueness versus so many other watches. I think the Pelagos would get a lot more wrist time as I think it can work well dressed up or down. The Samurai will get more wrist time as a casual watch, for swimming, working out, etc. So if you're looking for a daily watch, I'd say go for the Pelagos. But if you already have a collection and looking for something fun, robust and totally unique to add to the collection, I'd go for the Seiko! |

Thanks for the info. I think the Seiko is still my first choice given my reason for purchasing, a vacation to Mexico. Did you get yours in London? I'm not finding anywhere in the US that has them, though I've just been doing google searches, not calling any Seiko boutiques yet.
