Patek Aquanaut 5167 or FP Journe Elegante 48

As per the title. Since the Patek Aquanaut is now on an infinite waiting list, my eyes are now switching to another watch on rubber strap the FP Journe Elegante 48 Titalyt. What would you choose?

I really liked this watch and got to see the model in the store. But, holding it up to my 5164 there was such a big difference in the design, weight, anesthetics, etc I thought no comparison was fair. As they are avaible in store still to order, I was hoping their prices would come down a bit on the secondary. I personally think 8-10 would be reasonable.

My situation isn't quite the same as I already have a 5168g, but after seeing that Journe in person I have to say I will probably add one to my collection within the next few years. The lume on the Journe and "sleep" mode are awesome.

They are different enough to own both. I had both. Elegante is quartz but very unique. Aquanaut is well to me a great iconic reference.

AGREE! as an elegante owner I will prob add a 5164A in the future. (maybe not 5167 because both are time only and rubber strap. be that as it may, i agree that they are distinguished enough for you to own both)

It's odd. I sold a James Cameron and a Kermit I sold to buy my wife some jewelry. I miss them a little bit, but the watch I miss most of any I've sold is the elegante titalyt, which I never imagined would be the case.
