Thought some of you may like this. Cool to see these watches put to action.
I assume risk should be limited if they did pressure test them, but nice pics nonetheless.

I believe your assumption is correct and the risk would be the same as any other watch that is properly maintained.

The risk certainly outweighs any benefit. Just like driving an antique car on a big road trip there are too many mechanical risks. In this case, waterproofness. His watch his money.

SEXY PICS! I was in Australia over the Christmas holiday and went scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, hit the Undine Reef. Wore my 16800 down there and couldn't help but sneak peaks at it during the dive. Felt SO satisfying to see the thing in it's natural habitat. Granted we didn't go below 15m :P

EDIT: I did have 16800 recently serviced by Rolex RSC in Sydney so felt OK about taking it down there........granted this is still debatable.

Cool pics, but a very unnecessary risk. There are much cheaper and more appropriate watches for diving.

Nobody dives with a dive watch. A Uwatec bottom timer on a bungee strap, yes. Or a Shearwater Perdix ( or Petrel ) just never a dive watch.

Yes, this is great!! I tell my clients this all the time and how durable these really are as long as they get pressure tested and preventive maintenance...Get it serviced...worry not.

Also, the watch passing the pressure test has nothing to do with the mechanics, it is strictly the external components - care for those and you are golden.
