new style panerai pic. YAY OR NAY

I love panerai's but I am very let down about the new style links. Was told it is more cost effective for panerai to make a one piece link as aposed to our current two part links which take the shape of the crown protector which i love...

What do you guy's think of this?

That looks like it belongs on a Convenience store kiosk. It would HAVE to look better in person.

Prefer the old style. One of the best around IMO. Used to be around is more accurate now.

Typical of Panerai as of late, they took something that was near perfect and changed it for no reason.

It doesn't look too bad to me, but I was just getting used to the old style Panerai bracelet.

Anyway, the straps are where its at, at least from my perspective.

If you spent some extended time with the original bracelet, you would know just how good it is, simply the best I have ever been around, or at least right up there with the IWC bracelet.

The original panerai bracelet is the best I think.. they minds well have stopped using the crown protectors while their at it since they stopped making such a sharp looking detailed bracelet. I mean the original bracelet said panerai spirit all over it!! The links consisted of two parts, the top part of the link even took the shape of the crown protector... the new links water the watch down. While I do very much so agree panerai watches are meant to be on a strap, I still think the bracelet is important. I bought a panerai on a bracelet so I can wear nothing but straps on my watch and throw the bracelet on just for the heck of it.

to look at the brighter side of things, at least my next panerai will be a bit different from the one I already own..

Instead of taking away the old style bracelet, they should have kept the old style and brought out the new style and let us pick which ones for which watch since these panerai's are made for switching the band around..

All i can say about the new link is it's (COST EFFECTIVE) for panerai.

Shrug - I think the older style looks like crap in pictures, but in person - very nice. Perhaps this style will look better in real life as well.

Curious, first I did not dig the original Panerai bracelet that much, today I think it is a great design! this new bracelet really looks generic! Bad for Panerai!

i wonder why they ruined the cool looking bracelet they had? it flowed with the watch, that one looks like it came from a different watch.

wanna know what the new links look like on the watch above? they look like the half link that came on all of the original style panerai bracelet.. the little link, only one comes per bracelet so you can make a fine adjustment. I wonder if the bracelet still has push pins or set screws on the edges of the links? looks like set screw which is at least one plus.

Nah...I think the Panerai's look better on a strap and it is so much fun to get extra straps!

while I agree they look best on a strap, it's still nice to buy the bracelet model so you have a bracelet to choose from as well as the straps you can switch to.

I like to be able to switch to a bracelet as well as straps, gives me more options. wish they improved the bracelet instead of taking away from it. But people are still saying it might not be exactly like that, I guess we will no for sure in days to come... But I will always support rolex and panerai now that i respect them as a small company knowing what i have learned about them and their watches.

I think panerai's old bracelet style is the best bracelet in the world!! made of two different parts and just beautiful. I don't know if any of you know that panerai designed the bracelet to look like the crown gaurd..
