Looking for in MIAMI: sport watches

So, I’m in Miami for the weekend. Stopped by a couple of Mayors stores and not one of them have any steel sport watches. Not even a steel sub. Anyone know where I should go?

Thx

You won't find any MSRP SS watches at the Seybold Building.
If you're buying vintage you better know what you're doing.
Are you buying anything else? Or expecting to walk into an AD and buy a SS watch?

Yes, I was simply looking to buy a SS sub. It seems that those are rare these days. A simple sub should be in every AD case

Sorry, but Miami is among the worst places possible to acquire a Rolex Submariner at retail. There is a 0.0% chance of that happening. You need a substantial purchase history and a relationship with AD salesperson to be considered.

If you are willing to pay over list or pay over list for pre owned, then their are lots of choices. If not, then stop looking and enjoy Miami!

Little off topic, but do you think you could find a Yacht Master Rose Gold on the Oysterflex in Miami at an AD?

Sadly, no matter where you go in the world they won’t have them. All the in demand pieces are going to large clients or locals who purchase there regularly. Your best bet is continuing to get it from your AD or going grey with whatever model you want.

Good luck with the Super Bowl this week. With all the high rollers, athletes, and celebs in town it's going to be a wasteland shopping at an AD unless your name is Tom Brady.

I’m in Miami and get all my SS from my AD. As fleetlord mentioned, you need purchase history and a good relationship with the AD in this city. Getting any sought after SS piece isn’t easy anywhere anymore.

Is this a joke or have you just not been to an AD since 2016?!

Why does everyone think they can pick up a steel Rolex in another city or country while on vacation? Do they think their home town is the only place where flippers and grey dealers buy all the watches?

It is just someone bragging about going on vacation. If he were to get lucky and come across something, he would follow up with an "is it safe to wear" thread in a few weeks.

Then many manufacturers would cut production due to less demand in a true recession. Not much of a joke.

Rolex is hardly the only luxury brand whose products can't be casually purchased. That exclusivity is part of the luxury market.

Seriously, just buy a used one. There are a zillion subs out there, and many are for sale from reputable sellers. You'll pay more than MSRP, but that's because right now the watch is worth more than MSRP. Find a trustworthy seller, pick a watch at a fair price, and you're good to go.

Aventura: International Jewelers Exchange.

19275 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura, FL 33180

They have TONS and TONS of Rolex Sports models... all are "Used" meaning NIB 2nd hand.

If you want to handle them, I've seen every model there.

Pepsi, Batman, Hulk, Sub, DaytonaC, SD43.... you'll also find a lot of non-rolex models.

If you're nearby, go for a stroll. It's like a Jeweler swap-meet in there. I always enjoy my time in there....

Idk if there are any priced reasonably though. That depends on your pockets and your negotiation skills.
