797 vs 1351

Buying my first... I thought I had settled on the 1351, but now thinking 797 as well. I like the titanium cases and chocolate dial. I’ve always had all automatics, so other than the obvious winding difference, what’s the argument for going with the manual wind? Everything else I have also has a date on it, and starting to think the 797 has a cleaner, more classic look. I won’t wear it everyday, so the advantage of the 1351 is I can put it in a winder to keep it going vs remembering to wind the 797 when I’m not wearing it for an extended period.

Appreciate any thoughts.

My personal take on handwound movement is the thinner movement which usually translates to less floppy watch on the wrist

If I can choose,I’d take a watch with longer PR but I’d go with simpler dial (rear PR)

Sometimes the urge for something new is strong, but in this case, I would stay with the 1351 for the gold hands, the pop of which nicely breaks up the subdued Ti and chocolate dial.

I don’t like the power reserve on the dial on 797. So 1351 for the win.

+1. The PR arrow looks a little out of place.
