1680 Red Sub Mk II

I am thinking of purchasing this piece but I have my concerns with the bezel inert since the 40 looks off to me. Any assistance and/or opinions are welcomed.

Thanks

It's not an original insert for the watch, so it doesn't matter much whether it's fake or service. Neither is worth much. Just factor in the cost of a correct replacement.

Thanks for confirmation that the insert is incorrect.

Before you dismiss...
If the price is in line with the added cost to source a correct bezel insert then why not.
Curious the asking price.

Dial and hands are awesome...Insert looks fake to me, because of the 4 and 5

I'll share TRF feedback with the seller and see what comes of it. Again, thanks everyone for the comments!

After some back and forth with the seller we settled on a price that worked for both of us. More importantly I was able to reach out to a fellow TRF member who was able to help me source a beautiful bezel insert, as well as matching pearl or pip.

Again, thanks for the feedback as always!

Much better!

By the way, I've seen "pip" used all over the place lately (whereas I've always called it a pearl). Is it an acronym? What does it mean?

@rom I took the watch to ABC Watchwerks whom I has been using for the last 5 years or so.

@Racer X That is a good question pearl vs. pip...

So no one knows what "pip" means? Assuming it's an acronym...

It's usually short for Philip.

Ha. No, a pip is a seed, like in an apple.
