Universal Geneve (1940s chrono): bracelet recommendation?

Dear friends,

I've just purchased a 1940s, rose gold and steel Universal Geneve uni-compax chronograph. It has rose gold lugs (17mm) and a salmon dial. I'm awaiting delivery.

Could you please recommend a vintage bracelet that you think would be good for it? Seems to me that a black leather strap will be best, but I'd love to hear some recommendations for a vintage bracelet that I could search for.

Thanks,
David

Being those colors and classy lugs, I think it has to be a nice croc or possibly lizard skin strap.

I think so, DLRIDES. I'd love to have a nice vintage bracelet on it, but I think a nice, black leather is probably the only way to go.

Thanks!

ah very nice -- i'm actually not well acquainted with leather straps. i had a vintage heuer and put it on a replica rally strap, but it also had a nice bracelet. have also dabbled in perlons.

will take a closer look at the one in the link. look very nice indeed.
