1st PAM and new to Panerai

Hey guys I just purchased my first Panerai which is a J series PAM 090 in Oregon. Will be doing a road trip and picking it up in a week or so. Just wanted to say hi and would like to say thanks to jikjak. Will post many pictures once it's in my hands.

Thanks,

Andy

Beautiful, I am envious.
I just fear I am too rough on my watches for a Panerai
for daily wear

Jyogi, I would say a panerai is just as tough if not tougher than a Rolex, so no worries. I have worn my Panerai, a 233, for swimming, hiking, mountain biking, several months in a very hot and dusty environoment of Afghanistan, and no issues at all, other than a few scrathes here and there. Panerais are made/designed to be tough everyday tool watches.

One thing that will be cool for you is to watch the power reserve fill up. I used to have a Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine diver with Power Reserve indicator, and was cool to watch. First thing I used to do in the mornings when I had it was hit the pool and swim laps. As swimming would glance at the watch and over the course of 10-15 minutes the Power reserve indicator would reach the maximum amount again!
