Possible trade/sale
Hello all, I have not been very busy on this forum, so please excuse me if I make a faux-pas. Question, i a patek 5712 in rose gold with a tiffany dial (original papers stating tiffany dial), not quite bonding with it. So considering a trade for a 5711 in rose gold. Any thoughts? All opinions are welcomed. Sueno213.

Go for it, 5711/1R is a great watch and I prefer the silky Nautilus bracelet as well.

Good move ,not a fan of strap version Nautilus.

I clearly prefer the one you have, dial is much nicer than 5711, IMO, but not a huge fan of Nauts on straps, at the same time could not imagine myself wearing a full gold watch, so between the 2 would keep yours, but if you don’t love it and don’t wear it of course trade for something else, I would also consider a 5164/5167R, but again that’s just me, love my 5167R but no way I would wear a full gold watch...

I was in the hunt for a 5712r before my journe purchase. I would keep the 5712/r especially since it's a T&C stamped dial. I would say save for the 5711/r. You can always find one down the line, the 5712/r T&C is not so easy to acquire.

From a collecting view point , the 5712R Tiffany dial is a better choice. The important thing here is that you have to love the watch. 5712 it’s probably my favorite Nautilus but as much as that’s true , I too let it go. I had a 5712R minus the Tiffany dial and I think like you got in the position that I was it bonding with the watch either. I kept this for longer than my previous 5712/1a ( as you see I love the reference) . But if you don’t find the joy on it , yeah move it.
5711/1a is a lil boring in my eyes, but I think the 5711/r brings the weight and the colored gold to the table , and that’s probably the joy that you are looking for. My advise is seat on it for a period of time and then if you are still convinced about it , do it and get 5711/r , an awesome power watch Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would definitely do it, or grab a 5164r. These two watches are my grails.

Go for it. 5711 in rose is a dream. Prefer the 5712 in steel.

5167r
I'm considering a 5167r and, while I'm not a fan and would never wear a full gold watch, I read some of the comments here and find that some 5167r owners, that aren't gold fans, seem to feel differently about 5167r. Can it still be considered a sport watch? I have a 5167a which I'm bonded to, but would consider flipping that for 5164a to complement 5167r. Appreciate any comments.

i have both 5712R and 5711R. they are very different watches, 5712R feels much more casual and (almost) always wearable. it can be dressed up or down, no probs there. the 5711R is much more shiny (although not too shiny in the realm of full gold watches, much less so than - say - a rolex daydate) and the 5712R has the much more interesting dial. i fell out of love with it a short while ago because the buckle started to bother me and wanted to sell it. meanwhile i am in love with it again, feeling good with the wearing comfort:::)))

5711R is really a hot piece. Personally I do not like staps on a bracelet and T&Co does nothing for me on that reference as the 5712 has a lot going on as it is and T&Co is at the bottom right of the dial. Do that trade in a second
