Rolex sub 114060 tiny spot on minute hand

I noticed a little darkish spot on middle of my minute hand
It's only a couple of months old any idea what it might be

Looks like a little discoloration on the lume. Looks like a trip to RSC or your AD is in order.

I don't see anything in that pic, but it could just be a variation in the lume. Maybe the thickness in that area.

Not something I'd want my watch opened up for.

Yeah, I don't see it either. Like tifosi I wouldn't want to open the watch over something so minor either.

Wouldn't bother me and wouldn't open a new watch over it.

It's in the middle of the minute hand but it's only small maybe I can have it looked at when it goes in for a service eventually

I don't see it either, and would leave it alone.

The less a watch is opened the better.

I think that's what I would do with it, too.

I would have it replaced early so that any aging will be consistent with the rest of the watch, otherwise you will be back here some ways down the road when you find that your minute hand glows brighter than everything else.

Have to agree lume is just paint nothing more and when it dries there will be minuscule differences.

I can see it but would leave it alone. Unless OCD gets the better of you and stops you enjoying the watch.

If you can see it in daylight while it's on your wrist with the naked eye, it will bug you.
The fact you put it on here already says it's bugging you but you don't know how much yet.
I'm exactly the same, a little OCD but that's really ok.
You should send it in or take it in if you are in London.
They will either replace the hands, compliments of Rolex, or they will tell you it's within specification.
If you're not happy with the latter response it's your time to shine and show that you're not happy with the defect, however minor, and that it should not be like that.
It slipped through QC and can be fixed.
I just sent in my BLNR as I lived for 2 years with raised lume dots on a couple of hour markers. Ultimately I wasn't happy and could see the defect every time, so they are replacing the dial and hands compliments of Rolex as they agreed straight away that it wasn't right.
Good luck!

I see the imperfection, but like most, I don't think I'd let it bother me.

Great piece, enjoy it!

I'm in the let it be camp too, but out of curiosity, if the OP sent it in now under warranty it would be "fixed/replaced" for free, right? If he waits until service won't he have to pay to fix/replace?

I think by some of these posts, Rolex watches cause more stress than enjoyment.

Agreed. I'd only worry about it if you normally look at your watch through a loupe.

I think the very first reply to your Original Post just about summed it up, no reason to go any further.
