Alleged Unique Platinum Daytona

Hey guys,

I was watching a Producer Michael video yesterday when Yossi Dina shows a Rolex coffin containing a platinum Daytona with a turquoise dial. This is allegedly the only platinum Daytona with this dial. He stresses that it is unique and claims the retail was around 30k £ which sounds sketchy.

Have you seen this before? What are your opinions?

If anyone is interested, he starts talking about the watch 10:15 minutes in and the screenshot is from 10:58.

The bezel is off too. It should be ceramic bezel. I don't think it is a platinum bezel. Looks like a custom watch to me

I mean, if it is 1 of 1 there's no reason it has to have a specific bezel.

That being said Yossi Dina sounds like a sketchy used car salesman so I'd take it with a grain of salt.

That looks like a 116519 Daytona Beach (pastel blue dial) with a strap, or a 116509 with a Daytona Beach pastel blue dial

My opinion is that it's not platinum.

Alleged Unique Platinum Daytona

I don’t know whether it’s genuine or not. (I suspect not) — sounds pretty far fetched, regardless. Dials are interchangeable.

There was a thread a while back about this same Daytona I believe - but saying it was super rare, WG — bunch of us asked if that was the configuration on the original papers...not sure if there was ever a reply...

Michael Blakey is a WIS and he probably knows more about Rolex than that Yoshi guy.

The watch shown is probably a WG Daytona.

I was thinking about posting this as well.

I am curious to know more about it.

It would be incredible if it was indeed a unique piece made by rolex. I highly doubt it is but would be delighted to be proven wrong.

The dial and watch looks authentic so maybe its a modified piece. This technically could make it unique but not made by rolex.

Has rolex ever made a unique piece?

As far as I know the only things unique Rolex has produced is case serials and watch serial numbers now they are unique and one of a kind.As for the Daytona yes its alleged

That was a different dial - Sodalite.

The dial on the watch in the picture is a pastel blue dial from a Rolex Daytona Beach

He’s definitely a used car salesman. Not long ago Michael was in his “vault.” In there was a red dial 6265 (or similar) Daytona. It was a brief shot of it but if you know anything about that type of Daytona, it’s said to possibly be counterfeit. Can’t trust this guy. He’s constantly baiting and switching Michael and always talks a big game.

I thought so while watching that video this morning.
Doesn't look too bad on an oyster.

Didn't the Daytona Beach come with warranty papers and not a card? Looks like that watch includes a warranty card from The Watch Gallery London dated 11/20/2016. Also, if the watch was white gold, I would think Michael would notice but never calls him out..

Possibly a rare platinum Daytona with a left over blue beach dial from Rolex?

Yossi: this watch retails for $800,000, but I can let it go for $50k

Nope.

No Platinum Daytona ever came with a metal bezel.

It's a 116509 with a dial swap.

Nice watch, but a Franken.
