Patek World Time is a staple of any Patek collection and one of the classics. Saying it would be insane to buy a 5230 for the unreal price of 25k shows your lack of experience with Patek Philippe.

5110 was first modern Patek World Time, then 5130, then replaced by 5230

Ok if you say so it must be true. I’m not a collector I’m a user and I’d rather have 25K in the bank than the experience of owning that watch.

Patek Philippe is clearly not for you, sir. I recommend you stick with Rolex.

Sorry to hear such dogmatic responses.I would not buy a 5230 G at $25k nor do I want one. Of course , I only have 8 PP in my collection but now I realize I am missing a necessary piece to have a proper collection. The 5230 is a nice timepiece but not for me and yep I would rather keep 25k in my Pocket than have a 5230 at that wholesale price . Just my opinion.
:-)

Now a 5320G for 25k. I’d rush for. Lol. But it’ll never get there

A coin dealer in Houston. It was listed on a popular online auction site for $38k. I was able to contact them directly and get a better price. I paid sales tax so in reality I'm in for just north of $35k. One sold at the Phillips auction in November for $35,750 so I was pretty close to the market price.

You say stick to Rolex like that’s some inferior product? Look at all my previous incoming threads and educate yourself before making childish responses.

Your posts are clearly not for me and that’s why I’ve added you to my ignore list.

I bought my BNIB for 37k USD back in Sept, not off Chrono24 but from another TRF'er. So 12-15 off MSRP isn't a bad guesstimate for the low end.

Wish i bought it then....hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I saw the R over Christmas in Europe (Paris and London) but both places indicated the G still had a waiting list that they expected to take them to mid-year at least. Not impossible to find but it does seem harder to find the G than the R lately.

I have occasionally seen both variants of the 5524 displayed in Singapore AD... last time was just 2 weeks ago.

No. If the AD goes bankrupt you are in a bad situation.

I'm comfortable with giving my AD a negotiated deposit. I get a receipt which states that the deposit will be refunded.

Only valid for as long as they remain in business and can honour it, if/when required.

i wouldn t say that ,
Renaud&Papi is definetly a great company however I m not sure how long the hype lasts around RM .I understand the concept and even appreciate the marketing job they did , but for me their whole collection seems to be variations on one theme but I m not their target group for sure.
