Incoming!!!

Thanks so much to all of you that offered advice on my earlier thread. It was a very tough choice, but I ended up with a 1680 from 1969. It was just serviced in May and is in very solid condition. As soon as it arrived it went on to my favorite strap; Nomos textile. Those who said there is something special about the matte maxi dial were 100% correct, it really radiates a warmth that is missing in modern Rolex watches. I'm still undecided as to what I'm going to do with the cyclops, but after a few days of ownership it's not bothering me as much as I thought it would. This thing is also keeping time like a champ at roughly +1 spd (better than any modern Rolex I've ever owned). I'd like to thank you guys again for all the help and I'm really excited to finally join the world of vintage Rolex. Pics of course:

Congrats - was that an RSC service, and do you know what sort of condition the original dial was in? It would have been a 'red' one, being from '69.

Yes it was an RSC service. AFAIK the seller did not have the original dial, just the service dial.

OK, so the dial was already changed before the last service - got it.

NOMOS textile strap for their 'Ahoi' model. It's a wonderful strap, I just ordered my second.
