Battle of the GMTs- Which one you picking?

Same as above

BLRO
BLNR

LN only if it is in jubilee bracelet. Hate the noticeable scratches on the PCL Oyster bracelet.

I bought an LN in 2012 new for 6600 I believe but returned it the next day (they still had it) as I could not shake my desire for a bi-color bezel and didn’t love the green hand. Now that I have a BLNR and a BLRO everything else is fair game. If a black gmt with a red hand and brushed bracket was released tomorrow I’d be first on the list.

You guys are killing me! So many gorgeous GMTs.

On the hunt for my first Rolex. I'm currently trying to decide between a 116710LN and a late production (2005) 16710 - both the same price. Then I see some 116710BLNR models for just a bit more than the LN.

Anyone here had (or have) both a 5-digit GMT and a 6-digit Ceramic GMT and care to share your thoughts?

I don’t mind the black and SS color scheme, I think it looks great. For some reason, I just don’t care for the green 24-hour hand. If it was red, different story. I like the green Hulk sub, I love BLRO, I just don’t like the green hand in the middle.

According to T Walker Lloyd, Rolex executive from 1965 to 1990, airline pilots called the Pepsi "the clown watch." They wanted something more traditional, and many chose the Sub. The LN works much better with my uniform than the Pepsi. It is a perfect all-black classic watch with a GMT complication.

I’m relieved that finally jimmytamp has
mentioned the CHNR!
This is the sublime rendition of a true GMT
surely the ultimate Rolex!

Any watch that doesn't have the jubilee is the winner in my book. GMT Master.

LN, understated, classic, focuses more so on function. Pepsi, flashy on the wrist, pops and says "fancy Rolex". One of many reasons why the latter is valued more in the market. LN fits my character more. Both excellent watches no doubt

I wonder which watch Rolex would present to Pan-Am if their request was made in the present day?

I doubt any of their pilots would call it a clown watch and it would match their uniforms perfectly.

Blro 1000%. It’s the best looking watch in the entire line up IMO.

The LN is fine too but I’m not a fan of the oyster PCLs and as mentioned by someone else the text looks too big and stands out too much on the black bezel.

The Pan Am uniform wasn’t black and blue, but black and gold like mine above. You mean it’s a perfect match with the aircraft logo and livery. I agree.

I'd have to go for the LN. I have a 116710 BLNR and a 16710 pepsi myself. I tried but could never like the Jubilee even on a DJ

For me I love these two equally; the 116710BLNR is more calm, subtle and sporty; the 126710BLRO is vibrant yet elegant.

I've never owned the 116710LN but having a 116610LN I'd say I'd definitely prefer the BLNR over LN.

Pepsi, although the black is a really nice all rounder. It'd be a more difficult choice if it was my one and only.

GMT with jubilee just looks more interesting to me. Gives the watch some extra flavor
