5320G or 5496p 015

These are the two who got to the finals.
Question for the ones who had the opportunity to see them both in real life.

1. If you can choose one for every day every situation. Which one would you choose?

2. Who do you think will be a better investment?

Thanks

Guy

You are comparing a WG vs a Platinum watch. If prices are similar, I would recommend a Platinum. In general WG watches are fairly common, but platinum watches are still quite rare.

But if you have a design preference for one vs the other, go for the one you prefer.

1. I prefer the 5320g. I love the case and dial layout.
2. Don’t know but I would guess neither would be a good investment.

As special as any platinum Patek may be, I really prefer the 5320G aesthetically, so it would be my choice. I don’t dislike the 5496, though.

I own and prefer the 5320g, but you can't go wrong either way!

Quite different watches. Don't like the dial color of the 5320G and don't like the use of gold markers on the 5496P-015. Back to you to decide...

I would pick the 5320 classic dial layout. The 5496 looks like a mess to me. Just too much on the dial.

5496p Platinum for both questions. It can be bought at a bigger discount now.

I like the 5320G and love the 5496P.

5320G seems an easy watch to wear. The dial is exquisite and overall design is refreshing. When it was released, I thought it was a great everyday watch contender.

5496P-015 specifically is awesome in my eyes. It’s the total package: grand comp, platinum, slim case. The aesthetic may not appeal to all, because of the rose gold accents. I do find the details on the dial amazing. Applied numerals. Applied markers. It just took a lot of time to make those small parts and hand assemble them. To me it’s also a great everyday watch. I do think it may be more legible as one’s eyesight deteriorates. Both watches provide window displays, but 5496 series is ahead, IMHO, with a retrograde date display, instead of a tiny sundial.

5320 is hot now. 5496 is not.

Probably the platinum one would be the better investment but my 5320G is my favorite Patek so far. Either way, you do not go wrong.

Buy a lump of platinum and the 5320g and then you can’t go wrong.

Plus I really appreciate the retrograde function on a watch
I would recommend 5496p
