Any Patek Philippe Owners?

Are there many Patek Philippe owners on here either in the UK or Stateside?

I've owned an Aquanaut and Gondola now for a year or so but have been longing for a Grand Complication for the last few years.

Anyone know of a good place to get a deal on one? Dealers in the UK just don't want to do any sort of deal and we get absolutely hammered with tax.
Would it be worth a trip stateside or are there any reputable dealers that will ship to the UK?
I'd pref like to either trade in my 2 patek's or sell them on first, again something which dealers in the UK aren't interested in doing.

Cheers,

Mike.

Sell them first. Call around! Deals will vary by model and not much dealing on the grand complications.

Yeah i've been resigned to the fact that must sell them first but it's how quick will they sell :(

Spoke to a dealer last week in London and he offered me 2.5% off list price was hoping for more than that considering how financially buggerd the UK is at the moment

Mike I dont know much but the only two forums I have seen that really have such high-end stuff are the puristspro and TZ forums...there they regularly share grand complications and all so dealing there will be really beneficial I can tell you

Mike, specifically which Grand Complication are you looking at?

Apart from the two that Asad has mentioned, you could also try Chrono24.

Are you looking at buying new or preowned?

I have tended to buy my Pateks from two AD's, neither of which are based in London.

I love my PP annual calendar, which I feel is the perfect watch in many ways. Part of me sometimes dreams of upgrading to a PP perpetual someday, but -- in addition to the discouraging cost -- I hate to give up the second hand just to save one calendar adjustment per year. The grand complication dials can also get a bit busy.

I agree, the Annual Calendars are lovely watches. I also love the Nautilus. Deals can be had if you know the AD.

Owned several, down to one now. Grand complications make poor daily wearers for an active lifestyle, or a clumsy gentleman (like myself).

Been to look at a Grand Complication again today in New Bond St, and I've decided against it.
Finally the dealer caved in as well and offered a healthy discount! Typical!
Can't justify selling 2 watches I love plus adding on £30k+ just for another watch. Think i'd rather keep the 2 Patek's I have and look for a vintage 60's sub which i've been after for years now.

Re wearing everyday comment, know exactly what you mean and kind of realised that today too.
