Maybe. I love it, just was expecting a bit more from the dial colour.

Very nice looking watch. Congratulations!

I am thinking about a travel time Aquanaut, but now will have to think about this too. Did you look at both? How would you compare them? Thanks

Not hi jacking but...for those who commented on the dial...dark and beautiful a lot of the time...but when it shows it’s blue in different lighting situations...gorgeous :)
This one in the sun showing both shades of the dial

Very nicely taken. So glad I have one. Never grew tired of admiring it every now and then.

I love the 5164 and it’s on the wish list. I didn’t consider it this time as the travel time function is incidental to why I wanted the 5524. If I wanted a travel time watch for overseas travel I’d have chosen the 5164.

Dial’s looking good - must have been taken somewhere sunnier than the uk!

i was offered one yesterday, not sure though because my wife insists that i let go of the 5712R if take the 5524G. i really like the 5712R but what makes me think is that i have a 5711R and a 5980AR incoming......might not be a mistake to let go of the 5712R...

i like the 5712R, but i would do it. If you decide its not for you later its going to be easier to pick up another 5712R vs finding a 5524G if you pass.

just got the 5524G and sold the 5712R. i am a bit unhappy because they need to order a shorter strap, at the moment the watch keeps turning around my wrist:::(((( other than that? 👍👍👍👍

funny though, very early this morning at dubai airport i thought about getting an IWC pilot - but after a short while i gave up on that rather contorted thought, which i blamed on the effects of a ten hours night flight from japan. then late in the afternoon i got the 5524G:::))))
