Thanks! That dial really must be appreciated in person... nothing quite like it IMO.

Thanks! I'm very happy you found one in the end! That feeling you'll get when it's on your wrist - you'll forget about your name not being on the papers (mine are already tucked away in the bank safe).

Thanks! I still don't quite believe how I pulled off 3 crazy incomings in the last few months - they just came like rapid fire and I had to seize the opportunities as they came.

There was a thread on the main board about someone posting their incoming Daytona and how excited they were over it, but they were already flipping it on the Sales Corner. Thread went south quickly!

Thanks! If you like the pictures, you're almost guaranteed to love it in person! I had been spending months looking at all the wonderful pics posted around here (special mention to Steve and Tyler), and I was simply blown away in person.

Thanks! Just any one of the trifecta would have made me plenty happy, but getting 3 pieces on my list is really beyond my wildest dreams. I am happy now to be out of "acquisition mode" now that my wishlist has been largely fulfilled.

Thanks! I would pick the FP Journe CB! I put my money where my mouth was on this choice and I have zero regrets! The 15202 and 5712 have some overlap - and I think the 5712's dial really kicks the pants off of the 15202. The CB is a nice quirky addition with the unique blue dial, tantalum case and RG movement. It's still proving to be a piece that is exceeding my expectations (I have been wearing it on orange very often as of late.)

Awesome incoming.
Thanks! There really is something magical about the 5712 dial over the 5711. I am also very happy to hear that you also had the support of the community - my experience being around here has been that it's so much more than a message board, and there is a real community backing it.

Recently I was also fortunate to finally source one. Agree fully with your discription of the magic of the “chameleon” dial...still smile every time I look at mine:

Thanks! Beautiful pic btw - again shows really well how that dial really shines.

Thanks! I love the proportions - it's the perfect size for the small wristed man like me, and fits so much better than the 15202 even though on paper the 5712 is 40mm vs 39 for the 15202.

Is there a prop bet out there on my 5990? A couple on Instagram have also been asking me that too... Why can't I have both?

The only real reason for me to move anything at this point is if something else on the radar comes up. At this point, the only piece I am seriously interested in acquiring would be a Lange Datograph in Platinum. Even though I've seen plenty at prices I'm comfortable with, no rush on my end to pull the trigger as that's something I need to be 200% sure will be a keeper.

Congrats on the 5712A, I never get bored of that dial.

Yes you can have both 5990 and 5712, in fact you can add more Nautilus as there is nothing called too many Nautilus.

Indeed! Even I look at myself in the mirror with a little disbelief that it all happened within 4 weeks. I would have liked it to be spread out a bit more, but when opportunity knocks... I had to seize it!

Thanks Brian! I'm not sure either where I go from here, and that's a good thing. I've reached a plateau beyond my wildest dreams (a couple days later, I still have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not just dreaming.)

Thanks! IMO, the 5712 and 5990 are almost fundamentally different watches. The perfect pair of Nautilii for complications and fit for every situation possible out there (in contrast, I would think a 5711 and 5712 pair would have too much overlap.) 5990 is the bigger, sportier cousin of the 5712 with an amazing set of complications, when the 5712 is the perfect sporty dress watch, under the radar, but has so much going on for it when you have a closer look.
