What’s your grail Rolex?

What’s the one you really want, realistically that you hope to be accessible or achievable to you in your lifetime?

I think I already have mine. Meteorite DD40. Absolutely love it such a beauty to look it.

Great minds think alike. This was a grail trio of mine, courtesy of immense TRF enabling.

Ah man - seeing that GMT I've been looking at a 116718LN with the green dial or the full rose gold CNHR. I think that would round out my 4 piece PM collection.

Hmmmm.....your going to make me spend some money soon!!

After trying them all I decided on my grail, this is the one I’m gonna die wearing it.

I have been in the game thirty years and my grail to start with was a SS Submariner and I have owned most of the watches between then and now. I had a Platinum Daytona with the Diamond dial, Platinum DD's, YG, RG and WG DD's, Sky-Dwellers, Submariners and GMT's. I am fortunate to be able to buy or trade for most any watch I want at any price point below 200k. My grail now is the watch I currently want to wear and enjoy. Spending a lot of time with Seiko right now but still enjoy my 12 Rolex watches. I only have one PM piece right now, YG Sky-Dweller, and am pleased with my collection. No more grail watches, only watches I enjoy.

This was my grail watch 20 years ago. It was somewhat rare having been on some magazine covers plus I had to sell 4 watches to come up with the funds.

I did buy it in 2000 and have worn it mostly as a dress watch over the years but I have kept it very clean.

Grail is a tough concept for me.

I suppose I have a few watches that would fall into the: “I really like them, but they’re practically unobtainable.

Most of those aren’t Rolex at the moment

Nothing from any of the modern day Rolex line up but always liked the vintage 1930/40s Rolex Prince doctor style dial.

I don’t like gold references but that is a beauty! Gary it deserves a thread by itself!
