My initial thoughts

It wears smaller than the stated size. I have a 6.5 inch wrist.

The green color is on the dark side. Not flamboyant indoors, very pretty in sunlight.

With the bracelet, it’s a little heavy. Thinking about a Crafter Blue strap in green, currently sold out.

Thanks for the compliments, it’s a nice watch.

The crafter blues are very nice and well made. My only minor complaint is the keeper sometimes pinches my arm when I slide the end of the strap into it. Takes a little practice to avoid.

The tip of the second hand is very unusual. Zoom in on the pictures.

Got my SPB103 from a jewelry store in NYC for $695.00 new in box with all tags, boxes, manuals, stamped warranty card.

Gorgeous green. Built like a tank. Beautiful case lines and overall design. Very impressed. Wish the clasp was a bit nicer, but not a major complaint.

Got it just in time for vacation next week. It will be my only watch on the trip from ocean swimming to dining out..

Haha! I will.

I'm going to be in Florida at a beachfront resort with a handful of buddies for a guys' week out, and I saw the weather and it's supposed to be in the low 60's and overcast Hoping it'll change so I can enjoy the outdoors at the pool and ocean and get some good pictures in the sun.

Here it is now. Love the flat sapphire.

A little too olive for me against the emerald dial and bezel insert. It’s a nice fit though. I’m looking for a thick tan leather strap to get that British tan and green feel

Kermit version?

Is it possible to get the green bezel and black dial, like a SEIKO Kermit?

Maybe if you buy the black dial reference and find an OEM green bezel on Ebay or other source.

If you like the look but don’t want to spend the money you can always mod a SKX007 with a green bezel that come in multiple varieties even one that is ceramic. Throw on a StrapCode oyster style bracelet.

Or, an Orient Mako XL CEM75003B has that combo from the factory for $150.

Thanks. It’s just natural light coming in from the window. Direct sunlight and it’s emerald. Indirect and it’s more hunter green. Overcast and it’s a darker black-like green.

Very enjoyable to wear and look at. Very pleased. In 36 hours out of the box it’s 6 seconds slow. Not bad.

Bought my SPB103 with full intention of putting a Crafter Blue green strap on. The bracelet just doesn’t cut it for me. Great beach/Hawaii/fishing/beater watch.

I have the black Crafter strap. The green strap is a drab olive and totally kills the amazing emerald green dial. The black really makes it pop and looks the part. Especially in the sun. It makes that green dial the focal point of your wrist and not drowned out in that drab military green strap. The black also goes well obviously for casual but even dressed up.

Was a great vacation watch. I like the bracelet especially the thick, fitted end links but it can feel heavy. So the Crafter is a perfect switch out option.

Just my opinion!

Quick shot under ceiling lighting. Not the best lighting, but you can see the black Crafter.

I wore mine two days ago and it has been sitting on my desk ever since face up unworn winding down the 70 hour power reserve. I'm at +40 seconds with that scenario.

Not the best, but I haven't been wearing it for 2 days so take it with a grain of salt.

I've been wearing it off and on since late February and have been very happy overall. The beautiful shades of green, case lines, beefiness, attractive dial and hands, makes for a very nice piece if you like Seikos.

Mine was all over the chart the first two weeks, then it settled at +2s/day. I am of course quite happy with that.

I'm going to have to say no and of course it's just my opinion. In the end, as you know, you can do whatever you like as long as it pleases you. I think that's a cool looking strap but for a black faced dial.

The beauty of this watch is the green. It's what immediately drew me to it along with the new aesthetics and movement upgrade. It's an awesome emerald green that twinkles and refracts in the sun. The bezel too in the sun takes on a great green color. In the shade and other lighting, the green shifts like a chameleon to varying shades and darkness to sometimes black looking.

Adding a green strap in my opinion will drown out that focal point. The stainless bracelet it comes with is heavy duty and looks the business. It makes the green pop. For me, it was kind of heavy, so I opted to swap with a Crafter Blue black that fits like a glove. The black, like the stainless, makes the green pop and gives it a mean look that I like if you get what I'm saying.

Also, I feel divers should be on stainless and rubber and nothing else. It kind of looks wonky to me on others. I tried leather and didn't like it. But again, just my opinion.

The black does look good. But I am hanging in with my green strap. It was a hit among the staff at the jewelry store where I had it installed. If a band is a little tricky or my watch is expensive, I farm it out.
