Trading 116710LN for 116713LN?

After being unable to purchase a SS Daytona and with the prices of SS Rolex sports models being insane lately I decided to purchase a TT Daytona a little while back. Although I was unsure about TT at the time this purchase seems to have rekindled my love for TT watches.

I'm now thinking about trading my 116710LN for a 116713LN.

Am I crazy for thinking about trading a popular, SS, discontinued piece for something far less desirable in TT? I know that adding the gold touches loses the "tool watch" factor of SS but I can't help but think that TT is a much, much better value. Thoughts?

Note also that I do have a 116718LN which I also wear in rotation but it does get less use than others due to the fact it's so flashy and is quite heavy on the wrist.

Opinions?

I would not trade the 116170LN for the 116713LN. Yes, TT is usually a better value but that's because traditionally is a lot less desirable than SS. IMO you have your SS, TT and PM bases nicely covered with the watches you currently own. I would not change it.

SS 116710LN
TT 116523
PM 116718LN

Very nice trio OP

I would make that trade. I don't care whether the trade value of SS is higher or not, I'd rather have some gold

Popular to whom?

Bowing to the whims of a bunch of guys on Forums, who all like the same thing, shouldn't drive your desires or decisions.

TT watches are better value in materials, and TT watches are very attractive watches... perhaps the best looking of all, considering that the TT DJ is the best selling luxury watch on the planet.

If the TT speaks to you, then that is the watch for you. How desirable it is perceived to be by others is irrelevant.

Obviously, only you can answer that question.

But If I were you, I would keep 116710.

I did it the other way around. Gold PCL was too flashy for me and I was annoyed at the orange colored bezel text that only matches the gold in direct sunlight.

I have noticed that - wonder why this couldn't be better matched with the rest of the gold?

I think the 116713LN is one of the nicest Rolex watches made.
Makes the all SS look dull
