Awesome AD experience - Prestons at Leeds UK

I was at Leeds, UK a couple of weeks ago and had a Saturday afternoon for myself and looked up the local AD in Leeds, UK. Oh, by the way, I am one of the many here looking for a brand new GMT Master II.

I was so impressed with the professionalism shown by one of Prestons' team members that I wanted to do a hat-tip to him. Unfortunately in my excitement discussing the GMT Master II, I forgot to note the name of this gentleman.

Having heard all horror stories of bad behavior from many AD's on this and other forums, it was refreshing to have a thorough gentleman offering advise and discussing a particular reference although both he and I knew that there was no product he could sell me.

May their tribe increase!

Thought this was leading to u saying he sold you the pepsi!!

I think this experience is not representative of most other ad’s out there at the moment in the uk.

A shame I was hoping this was another 1st post like:

Quote:
I went to AD after 6 years on BLRO wait list and I ask them where is my watch.
They said they only sell watch if I buy diamond jewels.
Sad...

It’s not. Went to my AD the other week to enquire about a Daytona. The guy I used to deal with and hooked me up had moved on since I was last there. Practically got laughed out the store by some barely out of his teens snotty little shite

As an Ex staff member at #Prestons ( bolton ) I would only buy off them and when I went in to purchase my first Rolex ( of many I hope ) from wilmslow, the gentleman who served me was so polite and helpful, I’m going to pop
His name here as I feel he deserves recognition and you guys custom. I just hope he can get me the next watch I want in the next few years !

So here goes thank you Jonathon Banfield, see you soon.

That's nice to hear. I recently moved to a new area in the U.S. and found several ADs that have been candid and helpful. They are a small but very welcomed minority among the vast majority of sneering sales reps.

Went looking at 1926’s there a few weeks ago and was looked after by him - good attentive service.

Purchased a polar explorer 2 from prestons in leeds in 2018. In the market for a BLRO or no date sub (hopefully in time for my 40th). Andrew, Stephen and Stacey are all very professional and knowledgable, albeit with supply and demand as it is I suspect they are having to get used to managing our expectations.

I've dropped in a couple of times and been welcomed even though I wasn't looking to buy right then - really nice people!

Awesome AD experience - Prestons at Leeds UK

I dealt with Prestons in Wilmslow for my first Rolex purchase and was very happy with the way they conducted themselves during the sale.

Just wish they had more stock

If it was Stephen I've been dealing with him at Wilmslow for many years and he is absolutely superb....just a pity he is in Leeds now but I keep in touch
All their staff at all their shops are amazing....would never deal with anybody else..!

I have bought my last 3 watches from Prestons in Leeds and to be honest would not go anywhere else - even if it meant a longer wait! Andrew, Stacey and John are fantastic to deal with.

Got an Explorer 2 from Prestons Wilmsow the lady I delt with was very good. When I managed to finally get my warranty off them the person who gave it to me couldn't give me the time of day, was in the market for another Rolex what ever I asked for the waiting list was full and didn't even ask for a Daytona or Submarines.

I have purchased a number of watches from Prestons in Leeds and have to say Stacey, Andrew and the team are extremely helpful, and professional at all times. The new store is superb.

Found a few of them pretty rude if you want a SS model you’re basically told you are not a wealthy customer so jog on son

Shame the city only has them as an AD these days

Preston’s Guildford

I’ve bought a couple of watches in their Guildford branch and have always had great service from Chris and Tom

I've bought two Omegas and two Rolex from Goldsmiths across the road from Prestons over the years , I enquired about a Batman last year and was told they didn't have me on record.

My local dealer Hewitt in Grimsby has always given me exceptional service and many Rolex gifts , they also seem to have a better selection than many of the big chain stores in the Cities
