With this watch, I went from being luke warm to not really liking it, then to being in love with it. It is hands-down my favorite watch and if I had only one, it would be a 114060.

Hi all, I recently bought a 114060 which I absolutely love. It is a 2013 model. I noticed the clasp with the Rolex insignia has a rough sandblasted steel finish (see photos, the first is mine). I have also seen other models with a high polish finish. Is this normal? Are there two versions of the clasp? These things started to make me wonder about the provenance of this watch. Also, how much stretch do you guys have on your bracelet over the years?

Completely normal. All early “new-generation” Oyster clasps were finished like this. Later new-generation clasps from around 2014 or 2015 onward have a polished finish. Regarding stretch, current Oyster bracelets are pretty solid so there shouldn’t really be any stretch at all.

New incoming, my first sub. I debated on the Deep Sea, a Date Sub, and the no date Sub. The no date won out, there’s something about the symmetry that just worked for me.

You know I’ve read quite a few stories just like this. I even saw someone bought and sold it like 4 times.

At one point I almost sold mine as well. Now it’s probably the last watch I would sell.
