That is stunning, I'm not sure I have seen it with diamonds. I'm assuming they no longer make this model as I haven't seen it on the website?

The Black Diamond dial as seen here is the only black dial in the Ceramic version that had the gold writing on dial... and the blue dial as well. |

disco'd around 2015/16 so I assume the black diamond dial was also disco'd around the same time... In 2016 my AD offered me the last Blue diamond dial TT Sub C they had in stock at a nice discount but I declined as I purchased mine just the year before. I probably should've picked it up looking back now... It was gorgeous but had the flat blue smurf dial with diamonds not the sunburst dial I have. |

I like the black far more than the blue. To me it is elegant and can be worn more.

Get the blue on your wrist and out in the sun and you will be sold.

Not ostentatious. Not pretentious. Just a beautiful low key Rolex that says one thing about the owner: GRRRRR! OR tyger The Tyger BY WILLIAM BLAKE Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand, dare seize the fire? And what shoulder, & what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand? & what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain, In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread grasp, Dare its deadly terrors clasp! When the stars threw down their spears And water'd heaven with their tears: Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee? Tyger Tyger burning bright, In the forests of the night: What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry? ============================ That's exactly the way I feel about my 116613LN IMG_4954rs.jpg |

I wanted a TT Sub Date to pair with my Hulk. I went for the 116613 because in the metal it is less garish and more classy than it looks in most photos, including Rolex's own. It's difficult to photograph accurately. Alongside it, the TT Black looked rather dull and boring. No offence - each to our own.

It all depends on which looks better on your wrist.
For me, the blue somehow doesn't work, so it was black. |

Bluesy, I guess. I think the black/gold has gotten a real revival, perhaps partly because of the Sea-Dweller TT one.
I'm hoping the case gets updated in 2020 though. |

It’s a funny question. Seems the emotional response is Blue. The logical response is Black. I have had a TT Black since 2013. It was my daily until my Platona. Now my problem is I miss my TT but don’t want to take the Platona off... You know my vote...

yeah the normal black dial TT looks odd with the white writing. too bad they discontinued the diamond black dial tt, the diamonds are really subtle 90% of the time and when under the sun at certain angles it blings the whole watch more than the sunburst blue ever would - guess this now unicorn will be staying with me LOL!!!

I like the Bluesy, not a fan of black and gold combination.

I just purchased the black dial TT. Love it. I’ve tried the bluesy on a few times but I don’t wear blue and doesn’t fit my style. Also, it appears more loud while the black seems classier to me. The black seems to be more rare after being in the market.

Unless there's room for both. Which I did have at one point ... I ultimately let the black TT go and chose to keep the BLUE !!! |

I wore a TT Sub with black dial for 10 years. Now I have a TT GMTC, obviously with a black dial. I prefer black. I think it is less flashy and I tend to wear greys, blacks, browns, dark blues and patterns combining those colors so it works for me.
