Strange noises..

Greetings all,

My first post and on a slight negative;

I have 2 watches now both producing funny noises from the case,

a SS Sub date, it sat in a box unworn for 21 years, was worn for a year then sent back for the full rolex service,

- came back everything fine for approx 2 years, now when you shake the watch you can feel the rotor spinning inside, it also creates a zipping kind of noise...

the other is a 1 week old D-blue deep sea, this also squeaks fairly often when on the wrist...

I read up about sometimes daytona's being loud due to the bushings (could of been bearings) but my daytona runs silent compared to these...

I will take them in when i get a chance but the nearest proper watch shop is a 2 hour drive.

Kind regards.

Should have the Sub looked at. The squeak, if you mean bracelet, is normal and will subside.

Agree...also a good soap and warm water watch will help alleviate the bracelet squeak.

could be rotor axle, maybe taken a knock & unseated it... could be brushing against back, or reversers gone dry

new bracelets squeak... usually wears in after a few weeks & accumulates sebum

but if they're too annoying, I sometimes treat inside the links with drylube
