New Rolex

So after wearing my GMT IIC for nearly 12 years, daily, I had the opportunity to buy a new Rolex. Got the call from the new AD in Vegas at the Crystals. When I got there it was a total ZOO. I have never seen that many customers in any AD in all the years I have been going through ADs. Huge selection/inventory, experience was great, and here is the watch. Interestingly, it has the mark1 dial (if there really is such a thing). This AD has only been open a little over a month and this just arrived from Rolex, so either they are still making this dial or it has been hanging in inventory since last year. Also, AD is now being told by Rolex not to give the bezel protector to the customer. Soon they will not be allowed to give the watch.

Congratulations! Great piece. Mine didn't leave my wrist since last September.
And indeed, where I bought mine in Monaco the bezel protector has been removed as well.

Bezel Protector

I got mine with the bezel protector
The stickers were removed and attached to a piece of card
The Warranty card is held by the AD for a year before I can pick that up though.
Great service from the AD just think Rolex are doing this to help against flippers

I too received the bezel protector with my new Explorer.

The AD did toss the protective stickers, though, and at purchase filled out the warranty card and scanned it for immediate registration with Rolex.

Congrats. I think the SD43 is perfectly proportioned (case & lug size, case thickness, bracelet width, etc.). Enjoy
