The guy who stole the Rolex WILL get caught, and WILL be held to account. Singapore is very upfront about their laws. Frankly, just don't be an a$&hole and you'll have an awesome time. Oh, and plan to gain weight, the food stalls are spectacular!

See link below, they are VERY clear. Again, just be cool... and have a few drinks on Sentosa Island :)

I'm very disheartened that this thread hasn't been created yet:

Is it safe to wear my Rolex in a Rolex store?

Only a matter of time before he is found and arrested. He will soon know the difference between getting your rectum resized and his Rolex.

Looks like he got away with it. Not yet apprehended.

The smartest thing guy could have done was to drive straight across to Johor Bahru after that stint before agents at the crossings got his picture.

In US he will be awarded free counselling sessions with psychologists. Additionally the dealer will be sued for having expensive watches that led to this behavior of this gentleman. Now this person cannot have a job for rest of his life hence Rolex owe him life time of salary.

You forgot the SJW mob vilifying the police for spending time and resources doing actual police work, the jeweler being boycotted for serving the coastal elites, and the thief being hero worshipped for sticking it to the man.

Easy fellas.

It shouldn't be too difficult to keep your ideologies in check on a watch forum.

If he's not caught immediately, how exactly is he supposed to make money?

Sadly, not so far-fetched

Culprit has been apprehended by Taiwanese police. He is a Taiwan citizen who has committed heists in Japan and Hong Kong. It seems he targets Rolex watches.

No wonder I can't get any OP's in Singapore or HK. This guy has run off with them all...

It's far better to report on a watch theft rather than other news which isn't quite as friendly. But sorry to read and glad the person was apprehended. Stealing isn't cool kids.
