Review: Reference Guide to 5-digit ROLEX models. Which one to buy?
Reposted from the main forum -> to the archives.
I wrote this new article to my blog. Actually I wrote it back in 2012 but never had time to finish it. These are just my opinions and views of the different 5-digits, not gospel. I've owned almost all of them and I wanted to share my views and photography. And by no means it's not inteded to be another 5-digit vs. 6-digit debate. The article just concentrates on my favorite models, nothing more. I hope you enjoy the article. Let me know if you think something should be added. Here's a link to the article. Enjoy! Which 5-digit Rolex to buy?

Small addition. "Tools" made this excellent dimension chart between the 14060 and 16610.
I added that to the review.

16610LV is easily my favorite. Subtle, yet classy and fun.

Yeah, but the 16613 was covered. Serti and Sultan are quite rare models. I like the silver Serti though. The only diamond watch I'd wear.
Cheers.

Kermit would have been quite an investment 10 years ago. The prices are getting crazy.

I have a 16600 (1991) and just acquired a 16710 (1996) with coke bezel. I much prefer the smaller cases than the 6 digit ones. A bit more subtle on the wrist.
But saying that I have a 6 digit no date sub and still love it. Watches are weird lol. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Thank you, even i have some 6 digits too, except from ceramic Daytona none of them appealing to me with fat design objects... 16600 is the best one matched with good price for now.

Indeed. I have both.
Unfortunately my 16570 doesn't have lug holes though.
