Same here - I didn’t intend buying one as I was going to wait a few years till I had saved up for a new Explorer 1 39mm. But I was in Manchester 2 weeks ago and Beaverbrooks were selling the Blue Dial BB41 version for £1750 in their sale and that day were giving off an extra 10% bringing it down to £1575. I was also able to use a discount card we can preload from my employer which got me another 7% off so I only paid about £1460 when the previous best discounted price I had found was about £1850. I love a bargain but even at £2000 I think these watches are great quality and value.
Then, to cap it all off Tudor had a 4.7% UK price increase yesterday! |

In a word - no. Some people want a Rolex because it is something they have always aspired to. The quality and the steel is still better in a Rolex but if you like a particular Tudor model and it isn’t a compromise for a Rolex where you could have afforded the Rolex and keep wishing you had got the Rolex instead of the Tudor then fine. I had 1980s and early 90s Rolex Oysters where the quality of the strap and clasp on my BB41 feels better than they were, but if I look at today’s Rolex’s the quality is better again. I love my BB41 and I can’t afford an Explorer 1 39mm for a few years till my daughter finishes Uni, but I bought it at a great price safe in the knowledge I could even trade it in or sell it at no loss or possibly even a profit when I buy the Explorer. I have since tried on a 39mm Explorer and as much as I love my BB41, the Explorer even though only 2mm smaller is just better proportioned on my wrist.

I have two Tudor watches. One old and one new. Wouldn’t part with either of them.

I love all 4 of mine. Especially the GMT. I may pop for the TT Chrono too, but having the SS Chrono I may not. Someday I will decide. The Smarty endlinks are a worth addition.

Looks great. Gave a P01 as a birthday gift yesterday. The new owner seems to really like the watch.

Gotta tell you, a few weeks into this GMT and I have never gotten so many compliments! The watch performs and feels perfect. Here are a couple pics. One was on a flight as a passenger and my seat mate had a beautiful time piece on too

I just posted this in the other Tudor owners thread but thought I'd share the love for Tudor. They actually get more wrist time them my Rolex or other brands nowadays.

And it goes well with whichever strap you put on.
