Looks absolutely great! Wear it in good health! (And be sure to post pix when you get the Sub, too!) ;)

You have to be patient. Don’t buy it unless it’s the one you really really want. Consider all the colors and features and then make a decision to buy your favorite. Don’t rush into buying one simply because it’s suddenly available at the AD.
Do not settle for 2nd best! Having to wait makes it more special.

FYI - to the OP - with a tight cuff like that just be careful as that watch will eat up your cuff!

Very nice, huge congrats! Been following this thread since the beginning, and honestly wasn't really sure how it was going to turn out. The forum gets a lot of these, "should I" posts from new members, and they don't always go so well.

Again, you made a sound choice, and appear to be quite pleased. That's all that really matters. Cheers to you!

The TT CHNR has gold. It’s going to cost more than a solid steel watch.

You need to ask yourself how are you going to handle it should the watch lose its value instead.

No Rolex is hard to get. They are readily available from greys, trusted sellers etc. If you are referring to from an AD exclusively, you pay in time instead of cash.

This is going to sound cliche but is the best advice there is. Get the watch you want. Or else you’re just going to end up selling it down the road and either stop there or go through watches serially until you get burnt out.
Agreed
As to the burnout factor, it may not necessarily eventuate.
At this stage it seems as though the OP is setting themselves up to be on the endless pathway to the grail watch.
I consider that the best outcome would be for the OP to simply enjoy the journey and have great diversity across multiple brands with a small collection of watches that suites their style and for every occasion.
It's like knives, hammers, screwdrivers, motorcycles, cars, boats, etc.
You cant just have one if you're into it

There is a long list of Rolex watches I like, I "got the call" on 3 of those while waiting for my SS SubC. On top of that, they had an Explorer I in the case when I got my Sub. Above all I told them I wanted the black dial SS Sub with or without the date, I LOVE both, nothing else. Still, they called and offered Sub TT bluesy, Sub TT with black dial, and an Explorer II polar.

My point? If you're buying one for now, get the ONE YOU LOVE, otherwise you'll want to sell or end up buying the Sub later. If you're going to collect, go for it and get your Sub later. If not, then wait! I promise, you'll be so much happier!

You have a special piece to wear for years to come. Take good care of it and pass it to your boy after a big accomplishment. Congrats!

I would go get it without hesitation if I got an offer at msrp. it's the most beautiful two tone rolex ever. and it should keep its value well above msrp in the foreseeable future imho.

I’ve both the SubC ND and the CHNR. Absolutely love the CHNR. It’s got such a warm feel to it and exudes class.

Great choice. To me, it’s the only TT that’s better looking than the full gold version.
