Rolex 1675, need help with bracelet.
I have 1969 Rolex 1675 and the bracelet on it a bit tight.
How can I replace links on it? Are they repealable at all, meaning can I buy on eBay extra link and ask someone to add it? Also, if I would want to replace bracelet altogether which one should I get for this model? Will 62510 fit this model or I should go for something else like 7835? I really want to wear the watch more often, thanks a lot in advance. |

Great GMT, Ross. You might try the vintage forum. Lots of knowledge, there. Links can be replaced. But you have to bend them apart. I’ve done it and it’s darn near impossible to bend them back in place looking proper. I’d only have a truly skilled watchmaker add the link. Or have Rolex add the link. It’s too nice a watch to mess up.

Beautiful piece and amazing bezel. I'd look into sending the bracelet to Michael Young at Rolliworks if you're looking into having it restored (should be significantly cheaper than buying a replace bracelet). If you want a new bracelet altogether, the 62510 should fit that just fine with the correct endlinks if you want a jubilee. I have an oyster 78360 with 558b endlinks on my '72 1675 and I love it. Can't go wrong either way!

Do you know the significance of this watch?
I would keep it on the original bracelet, source matching link from the vintage forum here... I'm not sure if Rolex would supply. It looks like you have some stretch, a refurb by a trusted technician might make the world of difference and he / she might be able to source you a link too. I think that would be my preferred route vs putting a brand new shiny jubilee on. |

OP, keep the original bracelet and buy a 78360 as above. Or consider the 93150 flip lock bracket for Submariners. I have a 93150 bracelet that I wear on a my GMTs, using 580 ends. That will fit your watch, too. I like the flip lock bracelet (93150). Get another bracelet and put the original one where you can find it and save it. The more modern bracelets are better to wear, IMO. All these bracelets are 20mm.
