First, I’d base it on the the other colors, sizes, types, etc...in the collection, if picking only one. If just choosing based on those two only, (I’ve had both at the same time) I’d would’ve kept the GMT, blue or black dial...love both.
The only reason is...while I do love the smurf, the blue (just that particular shade) is just a bit, and I mean A BIT, too blue. Blue is my favorite color mind you, and if it were a bit darker, I’d say this could be a one and only watch for me.
That said...I love the GMT function better, and I love the Pepsi bezel.
Ultimately, both is the best scenario, but if choosing between the two...with no consideration for what else is in the collection...I’d go GMT.
Very personal...both are fantastic pieces!

Both great watches, but I would lean towards the BLRO for the GMT function.

I love the smurf but I would love a BLRO more. The GMT functionality is more useful to me. It's subjective but I believe the GMT is slightly dressier. My favorite WG GMT is actually the black dial. Whatever you decide, you can't go wrong.

Not sure if you were thinking of the black dial, meteorite or blue dial WG GMT. Although I like the meteorite dial, it’s not my first choice.

Here is the WG GMT along side the 126710BLRO on a 97200 glide lock. I love glidelock! I have gray cards behind them to help users adjust their white and color balance to see the true color of the GMT inserts. The WG GMT on the right looks like a gen2 insert, much different than the gen1. And the 126710 on the left also looks like the gen2, of that reference insert.

These are shots of another WG GMT I traded.
Nice post, both watches look great, I would probably also get them back if I had traded or sold them.

I have the 116619 and love that watch. I have had it for almost 4 years now and never, ever get tired of it. Although, I have been lusting for a WG GMT and I keep calling my AD to make sure if one comes in that I will take it....this would be adding to the collection as I have never thought about trading the smurf for the GMT. No way.

Smurf shade of blue is too light for my taste; GMT either blue or black over Smurf

Thanks for the input. I agree mostly. Think I’ll keep the sub. I have an older Pepsi on jubilee so trading would be a bit redundant I guess.

Correct call imo, especially with that 5 digit GMT already in the collection (which I actually prefer over newer models) --- that Smurf is a special piece though, true stunner

I have both and both are unique in their own ways. However I tend to gravitate towards the Smurf. I just love the different shades of blue in various lighting.

If you travel across multiple time zones the GMT function is really handy.

I'd keep the Smurf.

Personally, the Pepsi on Jubilee has taken away from the novelty of the WG Pepsi.

SMURF! The Pepsi in steel looks the same if you swap out the bracelet (as I’ve done for reasons other than trying to look like the WG flavor). The SMURF is an incredible stand alone one of a kind piece of hardware and in my opinion blows away the WG Pepsi.... unless the Pepsi has the meteorite face in which case, refi your home or sell a child, work two shifts.... do whatever is needed to own both! I have been on the hunt for the meteorite Pepsi WG GMT since it came out. Below are pics of my SMURF and my new steel Pepsi but with the bracelet from my 116710LN (black ceramic bezel GMT-II which has been discontinued). I find the GMT Pepsi with this Oyster easylink bracelet far better than the jubilee as it is more robust and has more presence. The GMT-II on the jubilee, in my opinion, just feels a bit flimsy.

I have owned both and prefer the Smurf. There are a lot of alternatives for the Pepsi in SS and I do not see paying the difference for a watch that looks the same. I got out of my WG Sky-Dweller because of the introduction of the SS model. I would hold tight and possibly add a SS Pepsi at some point.

I’ve had both - wg gmt for me

If/when (please) they went sunburst blue in the sub I’d pick that. It’s too blue with the flat dial. Blue my fav too but it’s blue on roids
