Decided to go Grey

Hi guys, having few rolex watch in my collection i decided to go grey in order to purchase SS models that i don't currently have.

Besides Chrono24 or Ebay is there any other source to purchase Rolex without overpaying too much over retail?
Thank you.

depends on the model but you also have to realize that the secondary market all have similar prices. If its a deal too good to be true it probably is. Make sure you do your research before going gray as there is a significant risk.

Use trusted sellers on this forum. If you can pick one close to you, great. Otherwise they are all good. I used OCrolexguy and justrolexes, both in Cali but they ship.

Too many fakes. Wherever you buy, buy the seller. Do your homework to make sure the seller is trustworthy

When buying preowned from trusted sellers, I have a preference for browsing the classified section on TRF. Many of the TS on there have extensive references dating back many years and I find their posted prices to be fair.

If I were to go grey, I would only buy from a trusted TRF seller and meet them at an AD to get the watch checked inside-out. Buy your peace of mind first before you buy the watch.

Buy new from AD if the the model you want isn’t a current version. Be patient, things have been shifting and availability is improving.

DavidSW and Takuya are outstanding, and the best part is that it is 100% safe to wire them money. They are well established, and I have done business with both. Communications with both is easy, quick, more than helpful, and attitude-free.

I did get quickly fed up with two TRF "Trusted" sellers (the ONLY two I ever contacted, btw), who could not be bothered to answer a very simple question. I figured if they could not be bothered, neither could I. A bad attitude begets a bad attitude back.

Now mind you, I am NOT badmouthing any other Trusted Sellers as a rule. Just two, who will remain unnamed, although they have a lot of good feedback.

DavidSW and Takuya were more than happy to assist me; VERY professional attitudes.

What is boils down to is do your DILIGENT homework and go with someone you feel you can trust. In the world of watch sales, you HAVE to be VERY careful at all times.

I find Chrono24 way over priced on virtually all models I would look at the greys who post here on the forum

I'm not sure Ebay would be considered "Grey market."

There might be some grey market sellers on there, but the bulk are just individuals.

That might change with their new "authenticity" program.

I would consider the TS here on TRF - you can expect a risk-free and hassle-free experience. Sure there are exceptions, but those are rare.

I have gotten a couple very hard to get pieces at DavidSW hes a straight savage. Next day delivery super good communication. If your just getting stainless steel pieces then i'd wait out a AD. Unless you have the cash and want it now. Some pieces like green dial Daytona and GMT meteorite if you have no connection your chance of getting those watches is 0. Its only a little more if you have a high tax state like ca or NY. Davidsw for sure if you can't wait.
