'REGISTERED DESIGN' missing on 1665

I was reading about that 'elongated E' business and checked a pic of my 1665 case out of interest and noticed above the model number '1665' it does not have REGISTERED DESIGN, or whatever the exact words are, as most others seem to have. It's blank, not worn away.

I'm not unduly worried as I've had the SD since new and only ever got it serviced at Rolex UK over the years, but the person who may buy it may wonder (papers are long gone).

I just spotted a DRSD on ebay a couple of years older than mine (currently $13k +) - also nothing above the '1665', yet I'm sure older and newer models have the Reg' wording, no?

thanks

This is normal for a Rolex from the period 1981/82 (serial in the high 6 mill).

Err buddies...Orchi heard another buddy is wanting to see..."pichers"...?

Got...one here...
minus the usual sales jargon by...a certain hardcore dealers...
whenever they wanna play down some doubts...
n sell the watch for more $...to potential buyers...

"Rolex did stranger things..."
"Rolex was very inconsistent..."
"Rolex did this n that..."
"It's very RARE..."
"GREAT opportunity..."
"It will be gone faster..."
"Don't hesitate..."
"Other Sellers are asking more $ for this..."
"There are more emails wanting to buy it..."

BUT Orchi ain't buying those sales jargon...
n Orchi ain't selling this...either...
