GMT II C : travels abroad and accuracy

Hi,

I just last week returned to the UK from a 2 week holiday in Egypt with my family, where my GMT2c did sterling service!

- It spent nearly every day spending many hours dunked in a swimming pool, usually with my 2 young boys swinging off the GMT! No problems to report here, it's incredibly strong, no rattles or play in the strap still.

- One incidence of suntan lotion application fail; the GMT got heavily smeared in Factor 20! A shower sorted that out.

- About 3 snorkelling sessions in the Red Sea. I think I plunged to a depth of about 3m into the briny deep, so it ain't exactly DSSD territory

- About a 20 minute session in the world's hottest steam room.

- Useful to have the GMT features, and quickly adjust the time difference from GMT to Egypt time when the plane landed.

- The strong sun made the lume look super-powerful as soon as I got indoors

- No scratches or dints, despite being worn all day and getting a few knocks, particularly boarding/getting off planes with the boys.

Really happy with the GMT's performance. And if anyone is interested, I'd highly recommend Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh) as a holiday destination - beautiful place, great weather, friendly people.

Just one other thing to report, I set my watch dead-on, on Friday around lunchtime, and just checked again now (Tuesday). After 4 days of wear, it's still *exactly* on time [Checking using www.thetimenow.com). Awesome accuracy!

Wondered when that would get asked!
I need to upload the pics to my PC, which I'll have to do at home tonight. (Currently on my lunchbreak at work!).

the wife and i got back from a Jordan and Egypt trip a couple of weeks ago - wasnt as relaxing as yours... we opted for a semi-adventurous trip. there werent many of those laying by the pool and swimming for us

spent one night in Sharm El Sheikh (after spending one arvo snorkeling in the Blue Hole at the Red Sea - bloody awesome.) - cool but touristy place. flew to Luxor the next day.

great to hear your GMTIIC has done sterling service - took a G-Shock with me and it came back with a few scratches.

look forward to seeing your pix (especially in the Red Sea)
