No it doesn't wear big, but the Rolex is a bit small.

Speak for your bald self JJ. I like the 44mm size personally.

I like the BM , the Pams and the YM. None of them seem small, there is a small adjustment period, but I like all of them.

The BM definately isn't small! I think you're right. There's a place for them all, and it only takes a small adjustment period. When I wore a Panerai everyday, this Breitling seemed tiny. But lately, I've been wearing the BM mostly. It's all a matter of perception. I never wanted to loose my ability to wear a "normal" watch. I do think that is a problem with Panerai, and these guys keep buying BIGGER ones, like 47mm.

Oh, my AD called to say they had a Marina Militare Destro in. They were keeping it in the safe and just calling "special customers" about it. I wasn't interested at all, but while I was there one day I checked it out. It's bloody HUGE. I just don't understand paying $9500 for a watch with the same movement as a $4000 111. I think some of these guys have gone off the deep end

The companies are trying to capatilize on the popularity, you are right that much premium is crazy for the same movement.

You gotta admit though, the 217 is quite a looker.

I do like all of them, I just happen to reach for the Pannies 5 out of every 7 days or so.

That was a generalised statement, Daren. The 40 mm size is somehow kinda universal.....good enough for most wrists - large or small!!

Beautiful!

Great looking new watch, Daren. I like it a lot (especially because it's a GMT, and you know how I love the GMTs!)

Awesome watch and pics Daren. I always wondered how the crown guard on the Pannies is on the wrist?

It is never a factor Paul. That is the beauty of the straps, you can keep them tight enough so that they don't slide around, yet the band lets your arm live.
