Does anyone know if the current model Aquanaut 38mm(5165A) or 40mm(5167A) have the Geneva Seal?

I would be very surprised if it didn't have the Geneva Seal.
Because as far as I know every PP has currently got it.
And I say currently because I am led to believe that PP is going to drop the seal in favour of its own criteria.
Because they has become disillutioned, with other companies, who didn't qualify for the Geneva Seal purchasing other smaller companies that had the seal. So that they could use it.

Thanks for your feedback, I was able to read up on it and found that the Aquanaut does have the Seal.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but you can get rubber strapped watches from Hublot (big bang), Richard Mille, Breguet for well over $100,000.

Personally, I wouldn't spend that much on what's technically a "sports watch."

The pictures are great, and I think I can get better close ups of the indices with my spanking new 15MP Canon G10... will try to do so tonight, otherwise I won't see my Aqua for another 2 weeks.

My next watch will be the Audemars Piguet Rose Gold Rubberclad. It has a rubber strap, but is rose gold, so it is significantly pricier than the Aquanaut pictured by the OP.

Considering most watches that have interchangeable straps, like AP, Panerai, etc range from $150 -$2000 a strap, I don't think it's too foreign to see a $20K plus rubber strap watch.

This is the AP I want next.

p.s. It retails for $42K

On my Ulysse Nardin Executive Dual Time the rubber strap version is 700usd more than the croc equivalent. I never liked the look of the rubber at first and initially had my heart set on the leather version. When I finally saw the rubber version in the flesh the difference was unbelievable and so I opted for the rubber. The quality of the strap is remarkable and the watch sits on my wrist perfectly. I normally wear a un mmd on a stainless which has a beautifully fitted braclet this I believer retails for other 1k usd, for me the rubber fit is even better, it is also used on the gold models which retail at over 20k usd. In all I would say you really need to see the quality of the strap before you judge it, I'm sure Patek would only supply the finest quality, that said the biggest problem they have is it has to compete against the gorgeous bracelet version.

Aguanaut is a great watch and most people don't understand the price. Personally i wouldn't buy it. I would rather get a PM model rolex but i wouldn't say if someone did want it that they would be making a mistake.

What does the rubber strap have to do with it?
